(Nov 2013) The Prince George Chamber of Commerce recognized The Ravens Group, Inc. as the Veteran Business of the Year during their annual Excellence in Business Gala. The company was recognized for exemplifying the core qualities of the Chamber, namely development, leadership and tangible community involvement.

 

“The Ravens Group's focus has always been on supporting those who have worn the Uniform and their families,” said General Joe Ballard, The Ravens Group, Inc. President and CEO. “Being recognized as the Veteran Business of the Year is a distinctive tribute that I personally cherish.”

 

General Ballard was also nominated for Business Leader of the Year. He expressed appreciation for his employees when accepting the award. Many of his employees are current and former U.S. military personnel, some of whom even worked with General Ballard while in uniform. General Ballard’s last military assignment was as the 49th Chief of Engineers and Commander of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was appointed to the position personally by former U.S. President, William Clinton. Throughout his career and now with The Ravens Group, Inc., Mr. Ballard has used his influence to better the community around him.
